Cardboard desk, functioning as a Directoire-style secretary from the 19th century. Made of mahogany, it has 5 compartments. The two small side flaps fold down and allow the drawers to be locked with a key. The writing surface lifts to reveal a storage compartment, and on the right, a sliding pencil holder with spaces for an inkwell and original pot. Length of the inkwell: 32cm. This narrow Cardboard desk features a slanted drop-leaf at a height suitable for writing while standing. This element reveals a storage space and closes with a functioning original lock with a hook and key. On the right side, a drop-down square-section drawer with a brass knob reveals a space for two inkwells and a pen holder. The sides of this piece of furniture are made from a single part without joints or cracks. At the bottom, there is a plinth and small feet. The back of the furniture, the inside of the drawers, and the niche are made of oak. Its dimensions and functionality provide many advantages to this two-century-old Cardboard desk, which will also charm you with its generously sized storage.
