Nightstand in walnut and jute fabric, 1900

An old bedside table from the early 21st century made of oak and walnut veneer, mounted on wheels. It has four drawers as well as a space originally intended to conceal a chamber pot. Originally quite austere, it was covered in a dark oak stain that masked the delicate details of the veneer. To restore its charm while maintaining its authenticity, it has been completely stripped and protected with a clear satin varnish. To add more lightness, the drawer fronts have been dressed in burlap. The interior of the drawers and the small niche has been covered in a linen shade, adding a soft and bright touch. The raw oak top has also been protected to ensure its durability. Please note that some veneer joints are visible in the photos.
