The pipistrello lamp is a creation by designer gae aulenti published in 1965[1]. The shape of the lamp is inspired by the silhouette of a pipistrelle (bat, pipistrello in italian). The base of the lamp is in white lacquered metal. And brushed satin aluminum, topped with a translucent opal white methacrylate lampshade fixed on a fixed arm. This lamp is manufactured by the italian firm martinelli luce, holder of the exploitation rights of the original plans[1].
