Large vintage Pipistrello table lamp by Gae Aulenti for Martinelli Luce

An authentic icon of Italian mid-century design: the large Pipistrello table lamp (model 620), designed by Gae Aulenti in 1965 for Martinelli Luce. This timeless piece features a distinctive white methacrylate diffuser shaped like bat wings, set atop a brushed stainless steel telescopic column and a warm off-white/cream lacquered metal base. Designed to serve as either a commanding table lamp or a striking floor light, the lamp's height adjusts smoothly from 70 up to 86 cm. This particular piece was produced in the late 1970s to early 1980s and is in excellent vintage condition with light, honest patina consistent with age. Retains original wiring, inline floor switch, and European plug.
