Mid-century modern vase, glass, designed by J. Słuczan-Orkusz, Poland, 1970s

A vase designed by Jerzy Słuczan-Orkusz for the Krakow Glass Institute in the 1970s showcases the characteristic approach to form and colour of that decade. The body is made of thick, high-quality coloured glass, with a smooth gradation from deep ruby red at the top to saturated amber-orange at the base.
