Charming antique statuette representing Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, also called "Little Thérèse" or "Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus", an emblematic figure of Catholic spirituality. The saint is depicted standing, dressed in the brown habit of the Carmelites and a beige cloak. She holds in her arms a cross and a bouquet of roses, symbols of her mystical vocation and her love of Christ. This hand-painted plaster statue probably dates from the mid-20th century.
