Rare and very beautiful religious statuette made of wood and polychrome stucco, finely hand-painted, from the 1920s-1930s, representing Our Lady of Mount Carmel holding the Child Jesus, Catalan manufacture, produced by the Olot workshops, with an unreadable but very recognisable stamp on the back, period and attribution consistent with the aesthetic, the stucco moulding technique, and very expressive glass/sulphur eyes. Beautiful size, 33cm in height, 13-14cm in width, 10cm in maximum depth. In very good general condition, no visible defects, selective paint touch-ups, and home restoration of the left hand holding the cord, specifically: 2 recreated fingers before being reattached to the wrist and then repainted, clean and very discreet work, the rest is in superb condition, with a few rare and very discreet defects due to its age, such as yellowing of the colours on the untouched areas, halos and glory at the back of the missing heads, filled holes, as well as a small touch-up on the back of the crown, very discreet. A fine piece, very decorative. Approximately 500g.
