Antique French Gothic Dragon Bronze Double Piano Sconce Signed L. Pinet. Expertly cast in bronze, the sconce features exceptionally detailed castings and an ornate backplate, showcasing the high-quality workmanship for which Léon Pinet, a renowned French bronze maker, was known. The design is rich with Gothic and fantastical elements, including elaborately scrolled arms adorned with dragon or gargoyle heads, adding a dramatic, architectural presence. The central backplate features a stylized bearded face mask, reminiscent of green man or mythological motifs, further enhancing the piece's Gothic Revival aesthetic.: The bronze has a beautiful aged patina with surface marks consistent with age and use. It has been gently cleaned but not polished, allowing you to choose your preferred finish. There is a threaded mounting hole on the backplate to assist with installation on a wall or piano.
