Very elegant American desk with a sliding curtain in light oak from the 1940s. This is the compact model, with a single column of drawers and a reduced depth. Designed as a professional piece of furniture, it features a drawer locking mechanism. Simply lower the curtain completely, remove the original key, and access to the drawers and work surface is locked. It has a small retractable shelf in solid oak, which is both playful, aesthetic, and very practical. It retains its very bright original patina, and the varnish remains very shiny, especially on the top. The curtain slides perfectly and closes with its original lock and key.
