Napoleon III mirror in carved blackened wood, 19th century

Very beautiful antique mirror from the Napoleonic III era, dating from the second half of the 19th century, in richly carved blackened wood. Its frame features a magnificent relief floral decoration, composed of roses, foliage, and scrolls. It is topped with an elegant carved basket of flowers, from which two floral garlands cascade. It retains its original bevelled mercury glass, with quite pronounced old pitting, which gives it a lot of character. The back retains its old wooden panel, with a wall mounting and a stand that also allows it to be placed on a table, like an easel mirror.
