Material metal, chrome plating, black leather. Size 58 cm X 84 cm X 79 cm I 40, 5 cm. Condition Good Original. Selected items – We change the way you think about forever. Rare version, Model MR30/5 tubular steel cantilever armchair in black/brown leather, designed in the 1920s by the designer and architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (03.1886 – 08.1969) for Knoll International. This example dates from approximately the 1960s–1970s and was produced by Knoll International. At that time, the chairs were marked only with a sticker rather than, as with current models, an engraved mark in the frame. One of the armchairs still retains two original stickers; on the second chair, only the outline remains where the sticker was once attached. This model is no longer in production today. Condition report Chrome-plated frame with age-related wear and signs of use. Lacing renewed. The leather shows a pronounced and authentic age-related patina while remaining soft and structurally sound. The leather was originally dark brown and was dyed black decades ago; on one chair, this is clearly visible on the reverse — adding distinctive vintage character.
