Very beautiful and large fruit bowl which will also make a decorative object in its own right, on a coffee table for example. It will not go unnoticed and will not leave you indifferent! It is made of openwork ceramic enamelled in a very beautiful emerald green with gold motifs still very present (on the rare fruit bowls of this model that we still find, the gilding is often very faded or even absent). I tried everything to show the real color in the photos, but unfortunately it's impossible! The first two photos are where the color is closest to reality, but it's still not exactly the real color, it's really a green between emerald and dark sea green. It is a very beautiful work of openwork ceramic thanks to the pretty twists that compose it. The stamp below tells us that this cup comes from Verceram, made in France. This model would date from the 1930s to 1940s and would therefore be part of verceram's earliest production, which tends to be confirmed by its art deco style lines. This cup is in very good condition for its age: no cracks or chips, not even a chip. The only signs of its long life are on the gilding: small areas where the gilding is faded on the large outer circle, a few spots on the small inner circle (these relatively inconspicuous spots can probably be cleaned with acetone , but I preferred not to insist too much on this cleaning so as not to risk further fading the gilding). And a “small gold dot” shows a small lack of gilding. It measures 37 cm in diameter, 6.5 cm in height and weighs 2.1 kg.
