Set of 3 vintage ceramic trivets, signed création val décor. Typical braided relief from the 60s and 70s, in warm caramel tones. Perfect for a retro decor or an authentic table. "val décor" is a french artisanal brand active from the 1950s and 60s, best known for its glazed ceramic creations, often in stoneware or glazed earthenware. These pieces were made in small series, often by hand, in a spirit typical of the post-war artisanal revival. The style sometimes recalls certain productions from vallauris, but val décor seems to have been a separate entity, probably established in another region. Val décor" produced a lot of trivets, pie dishes, trinket trays, etc., always with a strong decorative relief and glossy glazes. The central braided pattern and the honey brown glaze evoke a 60s-70s style, quite close to the retro aesthetic that is making a strong comeback today. The deep relief work is also typical of decorative productions from this period. Good condition. One of the small ones has a very slight manufacturing defect dimensions: 24.5 cms for the large one. 14 cms for the small ones.
