Pair of Carl Auböck Flat Iron bookends in brass and rattan #3530, Vienna, Austria

A pair of lovely sculptural bookends, affectionately referred to by the Auböck family as "Flat Iron" due to their distinctive shape. Model number 3530-2, designed by Carl Auböck in the 1950s. Handcrafted from solid cast brass with a polished finish and rattan-wrapped handles, each piece reflects the traditional craftsmanship of the Auböck family. Excellent condition; fully stamped and marked. Height: 10.16 cm, Width: 8.89 cm, Depth: 6.35 cm. As handmade items, each piece exhibits slight variations in shape and finish. Minor superficial scratches are a natural result of the handmade process and should be regarded as part of the unique character of the items rather than as flaws.
