Designed by Charlotte Perriand for the residences of the Les Arcs 1800 resort in the 1970s, this solid pine bar top features a free-standing silhouette with a slightly sloping edge. Designed to be installed in front of apartment kitchens, it was used in several buildings, including Pierra Menta and Les Lauzières. Its simplicity and thickness allow this top to also be used as a console table or desk, with the addition of suitable supports, illustrating the flexibility and functionality sought by Perriand in her collective developments. Provenance: Les Arandelieres Residence, Les Arcs 1800. Bibliography: Charlotte Perriand, The Complete Works, Vol. 4: 1968-1999, Jacques Barsac, Éditions Norma, 2009, p. 267. Signs of use. Ref: 7527.
