Brutalist handcrafted coffee table 1950

An old coffee table from a former chalet in the Alps. It features a thick, free-form top and rests on a base with simple shapes. The wood is likely dark patinated pine or a conifer with very interesting grain, bringing light and volume in places. Original patina, with a thick and very robust varnish, we love this authenticity. The thickness of the top gives the whole piece a certain beauty. The bevels and the shape crafted in an artisanal manner add to its charm and uniqueness. This unique piece has a slightly airy look, with its base being very simple. Original patina, and possible defects in the wood in places, due to its great age.
