This particular vintage Cesca chair comes from Italy from the 60s. It was made by Gavina in Bologna, Italy. It has a beautiful caning with a nice patina (golden/straw color) and a beech frame on a chrome-plated metal structure. Designed in 1928 by Breuer, a master of the Bauhaus school, the Cesca chair is celebrated for its innovative use of materials and elegant simplicity. Dino Gavina and Breuer worked together to perfect this model until Gavina was bought by Knoll. The Cesca chair is an excellent decoration for any interior, marks best times both of Itlain mid century design and also the Bauhaus roots of this chair. Despite the passage of time, the chair remains in great original vintage condition, with minor signs of use that are typical for furniture of this age, like minor imperfections on the lacquer. The chair dimensions: H: 81 / W: 46 / D: 52 cm. Seat height: 46 cm.
