Vintage Italian single Cesca chair, 1980s

The original Cesca chair was designed by Marcel Breuer in the late 1920s. This particular vintage Cesca chair comes from Italy most likely from the 80s. It has beautiful caning with a nice patina (golden/straw color) and a beech frame on a chrome-plated metal structure. The Cesca chair is an excellent decoration for any interior. The chair dimensions are H: 82 / W: 46 / D: 52 cm. This Cesca chair features a natural beech frame with a harmonious light color throughout, enhancing its sleek and airy aesthetic. Throughout the 20th century, there were many manufacturers in Italy, many of them not licensed by Breuer. Some of the copies are very well done with good proportions, like the one above. The most attractive feature is the way they age, especially the caning showing the light golden color. Despite the passage of time, the chair remains in great original vintage condition, with minor signs of use that are typical for furniture of this age. The original “Made in Italy” engraver confirms the origin of this piece. Seat height is 45 cm.
