Seaweed & Fish Vases by V. L. Kosta, Set of 2

Scandinavian modern seaweed and fish vases by Vicke Lindstrand for Kosta, Sweden, 1960s, set of 2. This is a pair of extraordinary handblown vintage signed glass vases, known as 'Sjögräs' (sea grass or seaweed), made and signed by Vicke Lindstrand for Kosta, Sweden. The vases have an elegant teardrop shape, with green streaks and air bubbles embedded in the glass, giving the impression of being underwater. The larger vase features two beautifully engraved fish, one on each side, while the smaller vase has only green 'seaweed' streaks. Both vases are signed and in very good condition, with only a very small nick underneath and a faint mark on the smaller one. The larger vase measures 23 cm high, 15 cm wide, and 9 cm deep, and weighs just over 4 kg. The smaller vase is 20 cm high, 9 cm wide, and 5 cm deep.
