Preben Sorensen, PS system teak wall unit, Randers, Denmark 1960s

This elegant Danish teak wall unit was made in the 1960s, in Randers, Denmark. It's a part of the modular PS System designed by Preben Sørensen.  Overall set size is H: 200 / W: 163 / D: 46 cm. It features a spacious sliding door cabinet, a bunch of open shelves, and a sliding glass door cabinet with a characteristic vertical glass pattern, perfect for keeping your items away from dust and still nicely exposed. Mastery of Danish mid-century craftsmanship is shown in rich-grained teak veneer and brass details. All the shelves and cabinets are adjustable, allowing for the display of personal items or art, regardless of size. Its modularity allows for flexible configuration. The arrangement of the shelves and cabinet can be easily changed. The shown setup is just an example. The assembly system is simple and intuitive, with components mounted on solid wood rails using brass hangers and pins. It will last the next decades, still charming with its timeless design in your living room or office. The set includes: A display cabinet with an inner shelf: H: 51 / W: 80 / D: 20 cm, A cabinet with sliding doors H: 50 / W: 80 / D: 45 cm, 4 shelves: 20 cm depth, 2 shelves: 25 cm depth, 3 teak montage rails, each 200 cm long, Brass hangers and pins. The unit has been fully renovated. The wood has been cleaned and finished with a thin coat of satin lacquer. Brass parts have been slightly polished. The brass screws have replaced the old bent ones.
