Garden roses in a glazed green earthenware vase, oil on panel, 1950.

1950s. Small oil on panel signed by Marie Louise Royer, who loved flowers. Here, the roses from her garden gathered in a green glazed earthenware vase from Provence, which of course subtly adds to the fresh and certain charm of this sincere work. Some small scratches, marks here and there after a well-lived life on the gray door wall. Dimensions: 27cm x 32cm. A rose is a rose.
