Pair of gourmet egg cups by Kristian Solmer Vedel

This red melamine egg cup with a satin finish belongs to the famous "Gourmet" series. It was designed by the iconic Danish designer Kristian Solmer Vedel for the publisher Torben Ørskov & Co in Denmark. It is a great classic of Scandinavian design from the 1960s/1970s. In addition to their characteristic minimal and functional aesthetic of the Space Age movement, these egg cups are designed to be stackable. Once nested together, they form a small geometric sculpture highly sought after by fans of industrial and retro decor. In perfect condition.
