Set of 8 cups and saucers in Gien earthenware, model Valence A040.

Beautiful antique cups and saucers, made of Gien earthenware. This old model is well-known and is part of the iconic designs from this Gien pottery. The background is ivory, enhanced with a golden frieze, a green border, and a golden line. The pieces are adorned with small motifs of flowers and foliage in gold, just the right amount, so the decoration is not overloaded. This model is elegant, classic, tasteful, timeless, and will enhance your table at coffee time. The cups are in good condition, with no chips or cracks. Only on some cups, there are a few signs of use (slight stains), but this is normal given their age. The gold may show some signs of fading in certain places, but this does not detract from the beauty of these cups. Moreover, it gives the whole set a patina, charm, and authenticity, proof of the objects' history. The saucers are all in very good condition, as shown in the photos.
