Impressionist painting - oil on canvas signed Théodore Linsyer -1885

Hello. I am offering an authentic work in perfect original condition by Théodore Linsyer, a Dutch painter who moved to Paris in the 19th century. This impressionist oil on canvas was created with an interesting contrast by first using a thick pictorial material in the foreground, particularly in the tree and the flowerbed for a certain relief of the nearby landscape, then in the background, a hilly and slightly blurred horizon under a clear sky. One of the artistic qualities of this painting is also found in a very beautiful harmony of colors. This landscape is particularly representative of the Barbizon school where painters drew their inspiration by fleeing the noise and pollution of the major modernization works in Paris under the Second Empire. Their means of transport were the innovation of the train to get around, to which must be added the invention of the folding easel, those of the folding seat and paint tubes, thus promoting pictorial representations as close as possible to nature. The photos are taken in natural light This very well-preserved collector's item has been completely cleaned, stripped of varnish and then a satin anti-UV varnish has been applied by a professional (winsor and newton). Tie rods with a width of 1 cm on the back of the canvas and invisible under the frame have been added on the 4 sides in order to properly re-tighten the canvas which was a little relaxed (see photo n°6). The frame is original, it has also been completely restored by a professional, then a special fine arts "rich gold" type gilding has been applied. The whole is in perfect condition, ready to hang.
