Varnished ceramic trivet from Vallauris and 2 bottle coasters.

Woven and twisted ceramic trivet, glazed, signed FPP Vallauris, in the style of Jérôme Massier. Also, two matching bottle coasters. Hexagonal shape, green colour, typical of the French Riviera. The FPP manufacture, meaning "Faïences et Poteries Provençales", is an art workshop created in 1950 by two partners, Jean Rossignol and Joseph Calvas-Blanchon. This pottery closed in 1967. In very good condition considering its age, with some signs of use and a few touch-ups to the glazing (see photos). (Note: in the photos, what appears white is due to reflections from the lighting; the touch-ups to the glazing are photographed up close). Beautiful shine.
