Degué glass bowl ceiling light

Ceiling light or molded-pressed glass bowl signed by the famous Degué house (founded by David Guéron) clearly embossed on the edge of the glass. The inscription "COMPIEGNE" as well as the model number "554" are molded on the inner edge. The decoration features stylized flowers (daisies or sunflowers) arranged in a crown around a geometric relief pattern imitating weaving or a basket in the center, typical of the Art Deco period from 1925-1930. The glass has a frosted/matte effect with polished finishes. The small holes or notches on the edge allow the bowl to be fixed to a wrought iron or bronze mount for hanging from the ceiling.
