Vintage 'Orkidea' vase by Timo Sarpaneva for Iittala

Vintage 'Orkidea' vase designed by Timo Sarpaneva for Iittala in 1953. Signed 'TIMO SARPANEVA 7568' at the base. An authentic piece of Finnish glass design from the 1950s, awarded a Grand Prix at the Milan Triennale in 1954. Timo Sarpaneva (1926 - 2006) was a renowned Finnish artist and industrial designer, known for designing the 'i' logo for Iittala and for his innovative works in glass, textiles, wood, porcelain, and metal.
