Sewing box worker

Here is a very pretty "worker" according to the name that corresponds to these small furniture of the 50s, mounted on feet and consisting of articulated lockers that open cleverly to enclose and store sewing utensils in particular. This one is a pure example of this, probably from the post-war period. In light varnished wood, it has 4 sliding drawers on a wider background. Note that it is equipped with 2 small and discreet handles to open the drawers laterally and thus gently extend the whole. To be moved to the envy, it is surmounted by a pretty arched cove. The base, also echoes this search for elegance, and the 4 feet supports are also arched to solidify on an h-base ensuring a remarkable stability to the whole. The wood is in perfect condition, with only slight white traces when the worker is open due to a lack of shade.
