A tête-à-tête consisting of 2 large cups and 2 plates (to be used as saucers if necessary, but primarily intended for food as they have no notches for the cups and measure 17 cm in diameter) signed by the renowned duo of ceramic artists Jacques and Juliette Laurent (née Mazaudois), whose workshop was active between 1954 and 1980 in Vallauris. They notably trained the equally renowned Albert Thiry. The cups are 7 cm deep and 12 cm in diameter, and all pieces are in perfect condition. A very beautiful beige/greige slip freely covered - note the design at the bottom of the cups - with floral motifs like so many light brush strokes. A hand-painted set with incredible charm, which has the lightness of a watercolour while the pottery support is quite solid and raw.
