Clam ashtray/trinket tray by Alan Fletcher for Mebel, Italy, 1970s

This Mebel melamine ashtray was designed by Alan Fletcher in the 1970s. Model: ‘Clam’. This rare piece was produced in Italy. Each white and midnight blue section is printed with the manufacturer's and designer's logo. The condition is very good, as melamine is a very durable and high-quality material. Slight, barely noticeable signs of wear. Approximately 16 cm in diameter, weight 360 grams.
