Beautiful armchair in Jacaranda Wood and Leather by Celina Decorações. It is considered a rare piece and dates to the 50s/60s. It is signed by Celina Decorações, an important name in Brazilian modernism. Founded in Rio de Janeiro in 1938, the company combined craftsmanship with high production standards, always emphasizing natural materials—such as solid rosewood (jacarandá), as seen in this piece. The overall condition is good, with some signs of use on some spots of the laquer of the leather and wood. It also has a bit of loss of chrome on one spot, which can be seen on the picture. The chair wears a paper sticker on the back that I left on, since it wasnt clear to me whether this had any further significance. (auction house/ importing the chair to Europe?) It easily can be removed.
