Bwana armchair in teak and leather by France and Son by Finn Juhl

Magnificent Bwana armchair by Finn Juhl. This armchair features true sculptures that have been meticulously designed by one who is considered the greatest designer of the Mid-Century Modern Scandinavian movement. It has undergone a change of seat leather and front of the backrest, made from a very beautiful full-grain leather that matches the original, which we have kept on the back of the backrest. This armchair showcases superb wood details and joints: the sculpted teak, the triangular section at the headrest that supports the upper back, and the massive circular armrests shaped like pommels are particularly distinctive features. The Bwana, like other creations by Juhl, bears traits of traditional African art and European modernist sculpture.
