A turquoise ceramic cache pot with a flared rim, featuring a decorative ring on each side. Signed Yvon Roy under the base. There is a chip on the inner edge (photo). Period: around 1950. Dimensions: 20x16 cm. Ref adequantik 2303100. Yvon Roy (1913-1958), art ceramist. He began his career in the 1940s as an assistant to Pablo Picasso in his workshop in Vallauris. He established his pottery workshop in 1943, creating pottery in Durtal in Anjou. His tableware collections became renowned worldwide. After Yvon Roy's accidental death, the company was taken over by Robert de Montgolfier.
