Pair of LC1 armchairs, Perriand, LeCorbusier, Jeanneret, Cassina Edition 1982, Signed and numbered with purchase invoices, Our pair was published in 1982 and acquired from the renowned Marc LeBihan, with purchase invoices to support it. The set is in excellent condition, the leather slightly cracked, the chrome with some micro-scratches. Signed and numbered: LC1 22296, LC1 22240 Designed in 1928 and presented at the Salon d'Automne in 1929, the LC1 is an armchair with a tilting back created by Charlotte Perriand, LeCorbusier and Pierre Jeanneret. It comes, in the same way as other major designs of the trio, from the study of body posture in order to offer an ideal support for seated relaxation as well as conversation. It is also largely inspired by colonial furniture.
