Exceptional vintage set of Bohemian glass, comprising a sculptural vase and a majestic canoe-shaped bowl. These iconic Mid-Century design creations are attributed to Josef Hospodka for the Chribska factory (circa 1960). The lot perfectly illustrates the mastery of "sommerso" art glass: an intense cobalt blue colour, captured directly in the mass, is enhanced by a thick and luminous layer of translucent crystal. The organic shapes, delicately stretched hot, create stunning light effects. The virtuosity of the glassmaker is particularly expressed on the bowl with a fine blue rim applied hot on the lip, highlighting its aerodynamics in echo to the cobalt core. Of true gallery quality, these massive pieces feature bases with a flat ground pontil, confirming a luxurious high-end finish. Dimensions and Weight: Vase: Height 28 cm | Width 15 cm | Base 9.5 cm | Weight 2.26 kg. Bowl: Length 40 cm | Width 19 cm | Height 10 cm | Weight 2.20 kg. Total weight of the set: 4.46 kg. Condition: Perfectly preserved with a sumptuous shine. Minute signs of use under the bases, normal for their age, attest to their authenticity. An extremely careful and ultra-secure packaging, with professional shockproof materials and double rigid cardboard, will be carried out to ensure risk-free shipping.
