Unique painted wooden coffee table made around 1930 by Maurice Jallot. Its elegant and refined structure perfectly illustrates the aesthetic developed by the Jallot workshop during this period, balancing architectural volumes with artisanal finesse. A vision of the unique piece dear to the designer, where luxury is expressed primarily through the excellence of craftsmanship and the singularity of each creation. This coffee table, painted in a delicate ivory hue, rests on subtly curved legs finished with brass-clad feet, a characteristic detail of Jallot's work, who uses metal with great restraint, mainly as a protective and reinforcing element. A composition with soft, balanced lines supporting a slightly raised top forming a frame. The top features a magnificent hand-painted polychrome decoration depicting birds in flight accompanied by insects. A precise and airy design reminiscent of the Art Nouveau heritage passed down by his father, Léon Jallot, with whom Maurice began his career upon graduating from the École Boulle. A magnificent piece fully restored in our workshop.
