Vintage 1950s J. Forest glass globe - 37 cm

Vintage world map lamp in glass, paper, and chrome-plated metal by Forest, Girard et Barrère, circa 1950, in good condition. The map is magnificent (very slightly browned here and there when illuminated), the colors are very vibrant, and it is in beautiful condition for its age. It is undated, but the former colonies of North Africa are marked. It is signed. The Art Deco-style chrome-plated metal base is impeccable. The wiring appears to be original and is in working order. It measures 37 cm high, 26 cm in diameter, and 28 cm deep. By acquiring this vintage item, you are giving a second life to a treasure from the past.
