Pair of HB Quimper egg cups with integrated pedestal base, floral decoration

A pair of Quimper earthenware egg cups, from the HB Quimper factory (Hubaudière & Bousquet), dating from the 1950s, in a one-piece design with an integrated foot forming a single saucer, a feature less common in traditional production. The scalloped shape of both the egg cup and the foot gives the set a refined and balanced silhouette. The decoration, entirely hand-painted, is distinguished by its free and non-repetitive style: each piece features a different navy blue flower, while the bouquet on the other side also varies from one egg cup to the other, a characteristic particularly appreciated by collectors of Quimper earthenware. The marking under the base, with the handwritten shape number 368 and the initial "Px," without a decoration number, attests to an early production with freely painted decoration, predating the standardization of decorations and commercial markings within the HB factory. Excellent vintage condition. Fine cracks and slight irregularities in the decoration, typical of Quimper earthenware, fully contribute to its charm; tiny chips on the edges (see photos).
