Set of 4 vintage Japanese mini bowls

Lovely set of 4 mini bowls in fine porcelain, with delicately hand-painted multi-colored floral decoration. Each bowl has a different colored background (turquoise blue, midnight blue, brick red and deep green), creating a pretty monochrome full of freshness and elegance. These refined little plates will find their place as well in a Japanese-style table service (for tea, sauces, or appetizers) as in a poetic and colorful decoration. The polychrome floral decoration is typical of pieces called "cloisonné style" or inspired by chiyogami (traditional flowered paper). Stamped MADE IN JAPAN in capital letters which allows us to date them from the 1950s–1970s, a period when a lot of fine Japanese tableware was exported to Europe. Diameter 8.5 cm Beautiful vintage condition, without chips or cracks, the gold edging is still very present. A charming set, ideal for lovers of vintage tableware and the Japanese art of living.
