Rare set of 6 plates Creil & Montereau (Floral pattern) – circa 1850

For sale is a magnificent set of 6 antique opaque porcelain plates (ironstone) from the Creil and Montereau factory. These pieces bear the stamp of Lebeuf, Milliet & Cie, which was awarded gold medals between 1834 and 1849, allowing us to date their manufacture to the mid-19th century (Napoleon III period). Hand-painted floral decoration with a flower garland on the edge. The set consists of 4 plates with red/purple flowers and 2 plates with blue flowers. In excellent condition for their age. Bright colours. There is a natural crazing of the glaze (usage cracks). No chips, no fleabites. Diameter 21.5 cm. Height 2.5 cm.
