Small talking plate "Paris Exhibition" No. 11 Russian Pavilion

Small talking plate "paris exhibition" in earthenware from creil and montereau. Made for the paris universal exhibition in 1878, this series was designed by pierre muller. The plate offered here bears the number 11 and represents the russian flag. The decoration is black on the ecru background of the earthenware. The condition of this small plate is impeccable with some small and inevitable traces of time passed (some 145 years!) a beautiful piece, rare due to its age which will delight collectors or simply lovers of pretty old tableware. Plate diameter 20 cm.
