Beautiful antique English plate in fine earthenware with blue printed decoration (transferware), attributed to the CEM / Clementson Brothers factory, Staffordshire. Superb romantic decoration depicting a lakeside landscape with figures strolling and a pavilion by the water. The wide floral border and the natural crazing of the glaze give it a lot of charm and testify to its age. A lovely piece for collectors or decoration for enthusiasts of antique English pottery and vintage tableware. Overall good condition for its age: no chips or cracks noted. There is a uniform period crazing, along with a few small cooking marks visible in the decoration and on the reverse, characteristic of old manufacturing.
