Vintage dormitory bedside chair - Peugeot

Vintage Peugeot Dormitory Nightstand Chair - 1950. A true icon of French collective furniture from the 1950s, this dormitory nightstand chair (or boarding school chair) is a rare piece, stamped Peugeot on the back of the drawer. At that time, the famous Lion firm applied its metallurgical expertise to state schools and boarding houses by creating tubular furniture of absolute robustness. Ultra-ingenious, it combines four functions into one compact piece: chair, nightstand with its integrated wooden drawer, valet on the top of the backrest, and shoe rack/magazine holder on the lower rungs. With its decidedly industrial look and superb original patina, it will perfectly fit as a unique nightstand in a bedroom, as an end table in a living room, or as an entryway piece/coin holder for sitting and putting on shoes. Dimensions of the piece: • Height: 79 cm. • Width: 38 cm. • Depth: 31 cm. In beautiful vintage condition. The metal structure and wooden elements show a magnificent patina of time that reflects their authentic history. The piece is perfectly stable, solid, and the drawer is fully functional.
