š Description. Authentic and charming pair of traditional Lorraine chairs made of solid oak, dating from the late 18th or 19th century. With their iconic silhouette of French folk art, these chairs stand out for their very high openwork backrest and their superb turned baluster front legs. They have been thoroughly cleaned with black soap to remove the impurities of time, then nourished and enhanced with antique wax. They now showcase a beautiful dark, warm, and satin patina, highlighting the natural and raw grain of the oak. Perfect for adding a "Country Chic" touch, rustic charm, or a warm contrast in a contemporary interior (Japandi / Wabi-sabi). Sold exclusively as a pair, they will be ideal for framing a sideboard, dressing a farmhouse table end, or decorating an entrance. Condition: Good overall condition for their age. The furniture is sound, stable, and robust. There are signs of wear that confirm their authenticity.
