Teak coffee table by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen 60s/70s

Elegant square coffee table in solid teak designed by the Danish duo Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen for the manufacturer France & Søn, circa 1960-1970. Its top with rounded edges rests on four tapered legs fixed directly under the top, an aesthetic signature of Scandinavian design of this period. The dimensions are 76.5 X 76.5 cm and a height of 50 cm. The teak has a beautiful, warm and even patina. The whole is in good vintage condition: some discreet signs of use are visible, without altering the stability or the overall aesthetic of the piece. The top is in very good surface condition, without stains or deep scratches. An authentic and emblematic model of modernist Nordic design, this table will work equally well as a coffee table or as a side table in a minimalist or vintage interior.
