Golden stucco and wood Empire mirror

Golden stucco and wood mirror, late 19th century, Empire style. Original parquet back. Elegant frieze around the edge combining rosebuds emerging from an amphora and laurel wreaths. Unrestored, the stucco shows some losses. The mirror, with its beautiful depth of reflection, a testament to its original quality, also reveals some losses of silvering, thus giving all its character and charm to this beautiful piece.
