Louis-Philippe gilded mirror with pediment

Small louis-philippe mirror in wood and stucco engraved and gilded with gold leaf. Small pediment representing a coat of arms on a garland of laurel leaves. The frame is engraved with crosspieces on the upper part and plant motifs on the uprights. The gilding has the particularity of having been carried out on a black plate. Indeed, the black plate is traditionally reserved for silvering and the red plate for gilding. The gilder may have made this choice to give a particular effect, a colder tint to the gold on this frame. The back with boards bears the mark of the workshop composed of the three crescents of bordeaux. Very good general condition, some small losses in the gilding visible on photo.
