A pair of solid pine benches, designed by Charlotte Perriand in the 1970s for the furnishing of the apartments at the ski resort Les Arcs. Composed of rectangular sections forming the legs and seat connected by a crossbar. They perfectly embody the clean and functional approach that characterises Perriand's work for this iconic project. The pine, chosen for its harmony with the environment, brings a natural warmth to your interior. In very good condition, fully restored in our workshop. Charlotte Perriand is one of the most influential figures in 20th-century design and architecture. Trained at the École de l'Union Centrale des Arts Décoratifs, she joined Le Corbusier's studio in 1927, where she designed, with Pierre Jeanneret, some of the greatest classics of modernist furniture, including the LC4 chaise longue and the Grand Confort armchair. Her work then evolved towards lyrical naturalism, integrating raw materials and organic forms. In the 1960s and 70s, she pushed the boundaries of prefabrication by designing all the furniture for the Les Arcs resort, a major project in her career and a true manifesto of her approach to design in service of everyday life.
