Thonet caned Art Nouveau armchair N°293, circa 1905 - bentwood -

Thonet armchair, a variation of the famous No. 221 (see attached catalog) with palmette motifs copied by all manufacturers, is presented here in a more complex and very rare version, No. 293, likely produced between 1903 and 1910. Its caning is new, redone in 2.5 mm German cane. It is currently only slightly stained, but we can age it if needed. Dimensions: total height: 94 cm, seat height: 48 cm, total width: 60 cm, seat: 47 X 43 cm. Note the small capitals at the top of the front legs – a touch of luxury! The cabinetry and original finish are in perfect condition. Stamp and label are present under the seat. More information and photos available upon request.
