Jacques Pouchain's vase, from the Dieulefit workshop, is an iconic piece of 1960s French ceramics. Made of glazed beige stoneware, this object testifies to Pouchain's unique talent, his ability to combine poetry and design. Having turned away from traditional studies to dedicate himself to ceramics, he experimented with glazes, notably combining a white glaze with manganese oxide, thus creating highly original pieces. Some of his works now grace prestigious institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art in Paris and Boston University. This vintage vase, now a valuable piece, was featured at a nationally renowned auction, attesting to its importance in the history of contemporary ceramics.
